The pyruvyl-amino acid is preferably selected from the group comprising pyruvyl-glycine, pyruvyl-alanine pyruvyl-leucine, pyruvyl-valine, pyruvyl-isoleucine pyruvyl-phenylalanine, pyruvyl-proline and pyruvyl-sarcosine and their amides and esters as, well as their salts. Associated with the administration of a pyruvate precursor to a mammal in accordance with this invention are improved insulin resistance, lower fasting insulin levels and, reduced fat gain. Why it's free to use
- Filed February 9, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 9, 2013.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 9, 2015.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
