A method for measuring an unknown voltage (VIN) using a voltage divider network (R1 R2 and R3) in such a way that, uncertainties in the values of the resistances do not affect the measurement. The unknown voltage is divided into three fractional voltages, the fractional voltages are measured and the unknown voltage is divided with a voltage divider comprising first (R1), second (R2) and third (R3) resistors and a first voltage (V01) is measured across the first resistor a second voltage, (V02) is measured across the second resistor and a third voltage (V03) is measured across the third resistor. The unknown voltage VIN is computed in accordance with the equations disclosed in the …

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 6, 1992 and granted April 28, 1998. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended November 6, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 6, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
