In the process for polymerizing an olefin in the gas phase according to the present invention an olefin is, continuously fed to undergo a gas phase polymerization in a fluid bed reactor in which a metallocene catalyst is present. At least one compound selected from the group consisting of water, alcohols and ketones is added in a specified amount simultaneously with the feeding of the olefin. Thus, an olefin polymer having a satisfactory drop second count index as defined by the below indicated formula is produced. wherein to and t respectively represent a flow time measured in the flow test according to ASTM D-1775 of the olefin polymer obtained when none of the water alcohols, and ketones …

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 12, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 12, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 12, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
