Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention aluminum conductor has increase of its electric resistance kept small at ultra low temperature of below 30°K even after cyclic strain is given at such temperature. The high purity aluminum conductor is made of high purity aluminum with purity of 99.98 to 99.9999 wt %, and containing at least one of effective metallic and semimetallic elements. The conductor having the increase of its electric resistivity kept smaller is made by adding the effective elements to the high purity aluminum and then optionally controlling its crystal orientation.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 5, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 5, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 5, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
