Currently, impact modified thermoplastic resins are manufactured utilizing batch, stirred plug flow or continuous stirred tank reactors. In all of these techniques a non-uniform shear field is applied to the reacting mass during rubber particulation. Rubber particulation largely determines the size distribution of the dispersed phase, which in turn is one of the key determinants of product properties. Unfortunately it is difficult to provide a fairly uniform shear field to control the particle size distribution. The present invention provides a device which applies a uniform shear field to particulate a syrup or to modify the particle size distribution in a particulated syrup. As a result …

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 30, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 30, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 30, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
