Abstract From the Canadian patent

31-, Use of Lewis Bases for Activity Reduction in Metallocene Catalyzed Olefin Polymerization Reactions, Abstract of the Invention Lewis Bases are used to control the activity of an olefin polymerization reaction and, if need be to substantially terminate, the entire reaction completely. Such activity reduction or termination of the reaction by the one or more Lewis Bases can be completely reversed by the simple introduction of additional cocatalyst. The use of such Lewis Bases to control static is also disclosed.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed June 27, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 27, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 27, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
