An improvement for spark plug structure which has no, torque; instead, it has an circular edge electrode on the lower end of the spark plug; there is a given gap between the edge electrode and the core electrode. The end surface of the porcelain insulator surrounding the electrode head is slightly higher than the end surface of the edge electrode; sparks can be strongly produced between the electrode head and the edge electrode without having 10 carbon deposit; therefore, it can provide a strong ignition and combustion effect in an engine.

Why it's free to use
- Filed June 16, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 16, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 16, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
