A stack of collapsed sleeve type end loading cartons is disposed in a hopper (4) and the lowermost carton (5) is engaged and fed out of the hopper by a carton pick up device (11, 12) which rotates in one direction. An auxiliary device (24, 26) rotates in the opposite direction from the rotation of carton pick up device and engages an carton wall (C) so as to move it out of collapsed condition thereby to initiate set up of the canon.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 11, 1992 and granted March 14, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended December 11, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 11, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
