A method and system is provided for minimizing resynchronization delays in a digital microwave radio system by, immediately upon detecting a signal degradation such as a loss of signal or an out-ofspecification signal at any one of a series of digital microwave radio transmitters, setting the transmitter's elastic buffer to an average condition and thereby minimizing frequency offsets at all downstream transmitters and receivers during the degradation period.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 31, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 31, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 31, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
