Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method of controlling a plurality of commonly piped compressors for a refrigeration system having a plurality of refrigeration cases including the steps of sensing a suction pressure of the refrigeration system determining whether the sensed suction pressure is within a predetermined pressure range, and turning compressors ON or OFF in stages until the suction pressure is within the predetermined pressure range. The method also includes the steps of sensing a case temperature for each of the refrigeration cases if the sensed suction pressure is within the predetermined pressure range and determining whether the sensed case temperature is within a predetermined temperature range. Why it's free to use

  • Filed May 24, 1994 and granted May 2, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended May 24, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 24, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
