A plastic eyelet includes a female eyelet having an annular locking jaw on the inner circumference thereof and a male eyelet having an annular protrusion on the outer circumference of a cylindrical column thereof and an uneven surface on a bottom plate thereof so that once, they are combined, they can not be separated or spun freely each other. They can be easily recycled since the material of the sheet is the same one as the eyelet.

Why it's free to use
- Filed May 24, 1994 and granted October 13, 1998. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended May 24, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 24, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
