Abstract From the Canadian patent

Disclosed is an adjustable prop assembly for upwardly holding plants. The assembly includes elongated sections detachably connectable end to end to form a vertical prop and a height adjustable support detachably insertable onto and slidable along the prop. The height adjustable support includes fixation elements fixing the support to the prop at a given height, and an attachment element connected to the fixation elements for attaching the plant to the support. The adjustable prop assembly may also be used in combination with a prop supporting device which rigidly holds the adjustable prop assembly when it is driven into a ground mixture in a container.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed May 19, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended May 19, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 19, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
