Abstract From the Canadian patent

An apparatus comprises a plurality of two or more reaction chambers (12 14, 16, 18), each having a different compound therein comprising a solid reactant adsorbent and a gaseous reactant adsorbed thereon, each of said compounds having a different gaseous reactant vapor pressure, substantially independent of the concentration of the gaseous reactant, and having an. ascending order of gaseous reactant vapor pressure wherein the adsorption temperature of a lower vapor pressure compound at adsorption pressure is at lest 8 °C higher than the desorption temperature of the next successive higher vapor pressure compound at desorption pressure, means (17, 19, 52 54, 56) for directing heat …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 24, 1992 and granted January 22, 2002. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended November 24, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 24, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
