A self-routing crossbar switch interconnects a plurality of processors with a plurality of memory modules. In a self-routing crossbar switch connecting N processors and N memory modules, a processor is connected to each input port and a memory module is connected to each output port; each of the N processors can transmit a memory request simultaneously provided that there is no port contention and no bank contention. Port contention occurs if two or more processors attempt to access the same output port of the self-routing crossbar switch at the same time. Why it's free to use
- Filed May 4, 1994 and granted July 27, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended May 4, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by May 4, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
