Transducer apparatus and related method are described for substantially simultaneously determining pressure and one other property (or property combination) of a flowing gas of varying pressure and composition. The technique utilizes several empirical algorithms for correlating the frequency (f) and series resistance (Rs) of a crystal resonator (10) exposed to the test gas with the desired properties. The apparatus and method can be readily incorporated into an on-line heating value determination process.

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 22, 1992 and granted April 22, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 22, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 22, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
