Abstract From the Canadian patent

In a mold closing unit for use in an injection molding machine for processing synthetic materials arranged on a mounting surface an electro-mechanical drive is applied in a toggle mechanism, at which the driving unit is movably held. The elctro-mechanical drive converts a rotational movement of a driving unit into a linear movement for the toggle. The lenght of the lever and the length of the driving element, formed as a double toothed rack is less, than the distance from the mounting surface to the link points. Why it's free to use

  • Filed April 11, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 11, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 11, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
