An object, such as a balancing weight or a turbulence-producing strip, is pressed against an inner surface of a hollow cylinder preferably utilizing radially oriented springs. Positioning pins are partially disposed in the object. Each pin has a point which is driven into the hollow cylinder to position the object securely against the inner surface of the cylinder to prevent displacement of the object with respect thereto. The positioning pins are made from a material which is harder than that of the hollow cylinder.

Why it's free to use
- Filed April 11, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended April 11, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by April 11, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
