A high frequency magnetic field exposure meter for use in an induction heat sealing operation for heat sealing the metal foil elements in closures (1) to the container (15) to be closed by said closure (1). The meter comprises a magnetic field sensing coil (16); a rectifier (17) to convert the a.c. output from said coil (16) to a d.c. output; an integrating circuit (18) to integrate said d.c. output over an exposure period to an h.f. magnetic field; a display device (19) to indicate the integrated exposure value generated by the said integrating circuit. During operation the meter generates a quantitative reading indicating exposure to the h.f. magnetic flux as an integral of the magnetic …

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 9, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 9, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 9, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
