The invention concerns an unsaturated ethylene copolymer a method for producing the ethylene copolymer and the use of, the ethylene copolymer in compositions for producing cross-linked structures such as material for electric cables. In the method ethylene and at least one monomer which is copolymerisable with ethylene and includes a polyunsaturated comonomer having a chain of at least 8 carbon atoms and at least 2 non-conjugated double bonds of which at least one is terminal, are polymerised at a pressure of about 100-300 MPa and a temperature of about 80-300°C under the action of a radical initiator. The polyunsaturated comonomer preferably is an .alpha..omega.-alkadiene having 8-16 …

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 1, 1992 and granted January 27, 1998. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 1, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 1, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
