Abstract From the Canadian patent

A sheet gasket, particularly for internal combustion engines consisting of at least one metal sheet (12) forming a core (10) which is cut to match the mating face and elastomeric portions, particularly in bead form which are bonded to said sheet around holes to be sealed. The gasket is characterized in that it includes a single-piece elastomeric covering (26) placed on part of the sheet surface to form localized sealing projections (34) around the holes (30) to be sealed. A related manufacturing method is also provided.
