Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method of producing alumunium and other metals by electrolysis with the liquid-metallic cathode and the horizontal anode is presented. To raise the efficiency and ecological acceptability of the process, the level of the electrolyte is kept equal to one or two-fold value of the interpolar distance. The feed of raw materials into the electrolyte is performed by means of the vertical movements of the anode.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed June 18, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended June 18, 2013.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by June 18, 2015.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
