A torque control shutoff clutch (110) for power tools is provided with a torque recovery camming device which assists in decoupling the applied power of the clutch (110) along with the shutting off of the motor (106) driving the power tool. The clutch permits automatic reset of the device upon release of the throttle trigger and further throttles air flow to the power source just prior to shutoff thereby minimizing operator shutoff torque reaction.

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 9, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended September 9, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 9, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
