A vehicle-top carrier for articles, such as skis and other equipment, has a housing with opposite ends which are shaped symmetrically with respect to a central transverse axis. The opposite ends are also tapered to form symmetrical drag-reducing profiles. The housing has a recloseable opening along one of its longitudinal sides. Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 12, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 12, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 12, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
