A reverse system for the feeder chain of a combine harvester comprises a hydraulic motor mounted on a slide and operated by a cylinder to move from a retracted position to a forward operating position. In the operating position the mechanical coupling connects the shaft of the hydraulic motor to a drive sprocket connected to the feeder chain. Hydraulic fluid to the cylinder and to the hydraulic motor is tapped from the lift cylinders of the combine from a solenoid operated diverter valve. Why it's free to use
- Filed October 12, 1994 and granted December 15, 1998. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 12, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 12, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
