A self-checking circuit and a method of its configuration are useful for achieving highly reliable system configuration. A logic circuit having an error detection function has function blocks for feeding out a plurality of signals at least duplexed. The system compares the output signals of the function blocks and detects an error on the basis of the results of the comparison. A synthesizing system superimposes inherent waveforms assigned in advance to the respective output signals of the function blocks onto the output signals of one of the function blocks. The inherent waveforms are orthogonal waveforms generated by an orthogonal waveform generator circuit. The logic circuit also compares …

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 12, 1994 and granted January 18, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 12, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 12, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
