Abstract From the Canadian patent

A reduced size three-terminal type capacitor for removing jamming signals from an electrical signal. The three-terminal type capacitor comprises a ceramic substrate with a first ground electrode layer formed on the ceramic substrate and a first, dielectric layer formed on the first ground electrode layer. On the first dielectric layer reaching at least from one end of the first dielectric layer to the other end is a signal electrode. A second dielectric layer is formed on the first dielectric layer to surround the signal electrode together with the first dielectric layer, and a second ground electrode layer is formed on the second dielectric layer together with the first ground electrode …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed March 4, 1994 and granted January 12, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended March 4, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by March 4, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
