A process for the wetting of cereals with a liquid, wherein the cereal/liquid mixture is exposed for a short time (2 to 15 seconds) to strong vibration (shaking at approximately 80 Hz), with the result that the cereals directly absorb the liquid into themselves and immediately become transportable and can be further processed, for example can be ground, without a substantial storage time.

Why it's free to use
- Filed August 12, 1992 and granted January 19, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended August 12, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 12, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
