A voltage-type self-commutated conversion system including a voltage-type self-commutated power converter with a plurality of anti-parallel circuits of a self-turnoff device and a diode. DC terminals of the power converter are connected to DC bus lines of the voltage-type selfcommutated conversion system. The voltage-type selfcommutated conversion system further includes a DC capacitor connected between the DC bus lines, a transformer connected between an AC system and AC terminals of the power converter and a control circuit for controlling the power converter. The control circuit includes a gate control circuit for generating gate signals for determining conduction periods of the …

Why it's free to use
- Filed February 16, 1994 and granted May 27, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 16, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 16, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
