Abstract From the Canadian patent

The present invention discloses a method for determining the total reduced sulphur content of a gas comprising the steps of introducing a first sample stream of the gas into a reference cell, oxidizing the TRS in a second sample stream of the gas to form SO2 introducing, the second sample stream into a sample cell passing, infrared radiation of a wavelength range strongly absorbed by SO2 concurrently through the first and second sample streams of the gas in the reference and sample cells respectively, and measuring the difference in intensity of the radiation passing through the second sample stream in the sample cell relative to the intensity of the radiation passing through the first …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 15, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 15, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 15, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
