The storage-stable polysiloxane mass contains components (A) that comprises a polysiloxane mass with aliphatic double bonds and a noble metal catalyst; and (B) that comprises a polysiloxane mass with Si-H groups and if necessary further aliphatic double bonds. In addition, component (A) contains a noble metal catalyst-free hydrophilic modifier composed of a (poly)siloxane backbone with alkylene ether units chemically bound to the (poly)siloxane backbone and (i) residues with aliphatic double bonds, and/or component (B) contains the same modifier with (ii) Si-H groups and/or residues with aliphatic double bonds. This storage-stable polysiloxane mass is useful as a dental mould-taking mass.

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 3, 1992 and granted April 6, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended September 3, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 3, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
