An improved drive apparatus for use with linear pick-andplace assembly devices is disclosed, which drive apparatus includes a movable carriage having an improved guide track assembly. The guide track assembly comprises a series of Vrollers and mating V-tracks to provide the vertical and horizontal translational movements for a linear pick-and-place assembly device's output member. The guide track assembly includes V-roller elements which can be eccentrically adjusted to create a tight, pre-loaded sliding engagement with the mating Vtracks, all so as to substantially eliminate any undesired end play movement within the movable carriage.

Why it's free to use
- Filed February 3, 1994 and granted May 13, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended February 3, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 3, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
