No Claude kit for weapons

Claude doesn't help design weapons, ammunition or explosives, so this page has no Reinvent kit. To develop this one, work with a federally licensed manufacturer (many of these items are regulated) and a registered patent attorney or agent, listed on the USPTO roster.

The practice dummy for simulating a handgrenade or another explosive weapon comprises a plurality of infrared light emitting diodes. The light signal from these diodes is used for simulating the explosion. It can be received by suitable detectors, such that the effect of the dummy can be detected in practice combat. Similar dummies can also be produced for the simulation other weapons, such as mines, mortar shells etc. The dummy therefore allows a more realistic combat simulation for practice and instruction. The light signals emitted by the diodes can be adjusted to have a similar range as the explosion to be simulated. Such a dummy is easy to construct and compatible with existing optical …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 2, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 2, 2014.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 2, 2016.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
