A catalytic composition comprises a metal hydrogenation-dehydrogenation component supported on a support material comprising an ultra-large pore crystalline material of high surface area and porosity. The crystalline material exhibits unusually large sorption capacity demonstrated by its benzene adsorption capacity of greater than about 15 grams benzene/100 grams at 50 torr and 25 °C, and has uniformly sized pores with a maximum perpendicular cross section of at least about 13 .ANG.. In a preferred form, the support material, which is preferably a metallosilicate such as an aluminosilicate, has the pores in a hexagonal arrangement, giving rise to a hexagonal electron diffraction …

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 23, 1992 and granted October 15, 2002. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 23, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 23, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
