Sensor for Combustible Gases, ABSTRACT A combustible gas sensor comprises four glass insulated radially extended and symmetrical temperature sensitive elements which are coated with a porous ceramic but only two elements having a catalyst. The sensor is mounted inside a temperature controlled reactor vessel in a region of no temperature gradient into which a combustible gas mixture is admitted and reacted on the catalytic surfaces. The change in the resistance of the elements under the catalyst is a measure of the concentration of the combustible gas.

Why it's free to use
- Filed January 18, 1994. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended January 18, 2014.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 18, 2016.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
