Abstract From the Canadian patent

A control mechanism for a simulator or stabilized platform (1) comprises a constant force spring device for supporting the weight of the platform and a plurality of impulsive force generating devices preferably in the form of electromagnetic linear rams (6a 6b, 6c) although a rotary linkage driven by an electric motor would also work. The mechanism provides an agile arrangement at relatively low cost.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 13, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 13, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 13, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
