A device for shaping portions of dough comprises a drum which rotates about a horizontal axis and which is provided at its periphery with alternating receiving apertures of two different sizes for the dough. In each aperture a plunger, is guided in the radial direction of the drum; a restrictive guidance system is provided for the purpose of regulating the plunger. A shift mechanism allows only one of the two apertures sizes to be aligned with the shaping device at anyone time; the device is therefore common to all aperture sizes. This allows for a wider range of weight of the dough portions to be shaped.

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 10, 1992 and granted March 25, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 10, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 10, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
