Abstract From the Canadian patent

Magnetic field sensor device Of the type based on flux-gate technology and second harmonic detection, that comprises a master oscillator (1) used as reference in a generator (2) to generate two signals of basic operating frequency and of double frequency respectively. The first one is amplified in a power booster (3) in order to energise the magnetising coil in the sensor head (4). The output signal from the sensor head is filtered in a bandpass filter (5), the output signal of which is detected in a phase detector (6) that is connected to a lowpass filter (7). It also incorporates a communications block (8) and a selfcalibration block (9) for the transmission of data to a remote station …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed December 30, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 30, 2013.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 30, 2015.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
