Abstract From the Canadian patent

Apparatus and ac-, companying methods for inclusion in a Coriolis me-, ter (5) that substantially eliminate temperature in-, duced measurement errors which might otherwise be, produced by performance differences existing be-, tween the separate input channels contained in the, meter. Specifically two, pairs of input channels (44, 54, 64) are used in the meter. In operation, the meter, repetitively measures the internal phase delay of, each of these pairs and then subtracts the delay associated with each pair from actual flow based measurement data subsequently obtained therefrom. While one channel pair is measuring actual flow the other channel pair is measuring its internal phase delay …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed July 2, 1992 and granted June 10, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended July 2, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 2, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
