Plastic components can be comminuted particularly economically for the re-use of the material in that they are fed to a device which with two rollers form a roll gap. The roll gap comprises at least two roll gap sections with different gap widths. The rollers are being operated at different peripheral speeds, with specified shearing rates being maintained in the smallest gap width.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 15, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 15, 2013.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 15, 2015.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
