Abstract, There is described a kit of slide-like articles that includes a stack of slide test elements and a separate stack of containers bearing a sealed liquid, the containers and test elements having substantially the same outside dimensions so that the containers are processable just like a slide test element. The seal of the container is penetratable by a pipette tip.

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 24, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 24, 2013.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 24, 2015.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
