An over center draw latch with lock bolt action is disclosed which performs the functions of both a bolt type latch and a draw type latch. The latch comprises a housing mounted on one panel a lever, rotatably mounted on the housing a spring rotatably, mounted on the lever and keeper mounted on another panel. When the latch is fastened, the spring engages the keeper to thereby draw the panels together. In addition, a portion of the lever engages the keeper to provide a lock bolt action. In the closed position the latch prevents relative, movement of the panels in all directions.

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 13, 1993 and granted September 23, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended October 13, 2013.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 13, 2015.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
