Abstract From the Canadian patent

A nested fiber gas burner (10) is formed with a burner body (12) having an inlet (14) on one end and a burner port (16) on the other end. A mat (22) of fibers is formed from discrete fibers of material randomly deposited into a mold having the general configuration of the burner port. After the fibers are deposited in the mold to a depth of about 0.5 inch, they are heated to a temperature of about 1200 ·C for about two hours which causes the fibers, to bond together. Thus bonded the fiber mat is secured in place, in the burner port.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed February 16, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended February 16, 2013.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by February 16, 2015.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
