Shoes for horses are fabricated from a plastic material which is reinforced by kinked metal wire. Said shoes are lightweight, readily formable, have good wear properties and are much easier on the horse than metal shoes. The reinforced plastic material is also useful for fabrication of hoof pads.

Why it's free to use
- Filed September 14, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended September 14, 2013.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by September 14, 2015.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
