To collect heat from the sun the solar panel is quite effective. Motorized dampers allow the panels to rotate and absorb more of the sun's rays. This heats the circulating air that is in the panel. The heat is collected and stored using slag. This allows for less maintenance then conventional glycol solar panels.

Why it's free to use
- Filed August 20, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended August 20, 2013.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 20, 2015.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
