The drugs carrier composed of the block copolymer according to the invention forms a stable polymeric micelle structure with which hydrophobic drugs can be incorporated very efficiently via physical trapping. It was found that the incorporated drug is stably maintained in micelles even in the presence of serum. In addition, a drug difficult to administer into the living body owing to sparing …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed August 13, 1993 and granted February 4, 1997. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended August 13, 2013.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by August 13, 2015.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
