Abstract From the Canadian patent

Novel polymeric compositions are disclosed. The polymeric compositions in , particular, are either soluble or readily dispersible in water. Such polymeric compositions can be characterized as polymeric blends containing at least one acid-functional vinyl polymer and at least one amino-functional siloxane polymer. the novel polymeric blends further include volatile aqueous media comprising water and base in an amount that is effective for preventing the acid-functional moieties of the vinyl polymer from chemically reacting with the amino-functional moieties of the siloxane polymer. Why it's free to use

  • Filed January 27, 1992 and granted July 18, 2000. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended January 27, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 27, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
