Complexes of bicyclopolyazamacrocyclocarboxylic acid compounds with a metal ion, e.g. 153Sm, 177Lu, 159Gd 149Pm, 140La, 175Yb, 166Ho, 90Y, 47Sc, 186Re 188Re, 142Pr, 99mTc, 67Ga, 68Ga, 105Rh 97Ru, 111In, 113mIn or, 115mIn ion, are disclosed. The complexes can be covalently attached to a biologically active molecule, e.g. an antibody or antibody fragment, to form conjugates. The complexes and conjugates are useful as radiopharmaceutical agents for therapy and/or diagnostic purposes. Processes to prepare the complex and conjugate are discussed.

Why it's free to use
- Filed December 10, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended December 10, 2012.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by December 10, 2014.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
