Abstract From the Canadian patent

Pressure-Measuring Arrangement with High Linearity, Abstract, A pressure-measuring arrangement has a pressure sensor structure with a pressure-dependent measuring capacitance, a pressure-independent reference capacitance and an evaluating circuit which derives the pressure from a capacitance measurement. To reduce the linearity error, according to the inventive pressure-measuring arrangement a further capacitance is implemented as a pressure-dependent capacitance with a further electrode formed on the diaphragm of the pressure sensor structure, with the measuring electrode and the further electrode having angular extensions changing oppositely to each other as a function of the radius and …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 25, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 25, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 25, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
