Abstract of the Disclosure, A flat adjacent the end of a motor shaft merges into a surface which curves radially of the motor shaft inwardly and terminates at the end of the motor shaft. A narrow groove extends transversely of the shaft between the flat and the radially inwardly curved surface and receives one end of a spring clip received in the hub of a fan or blower wheel to be mounted on the motor shaft. An opening adjacent the end of the spring clip is engageable by a tool to pry the end of the clip out of the groove and pull the hub from the shaft should, removal of the hub later be necessary. The radially inwardly curved surface provides a fulcrum for prying and pulling.

Why it's free to use
- Filed July 21, 1993. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended July 21, 2013.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by July 21, 2015.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
