Abstract From the Canadian patent

Disclosed herein is a methodology for analyzing isoenzymes using capillary zone electrophoresis ("CZE") techniques. Briefly an, isoenzyme-containing sample and a substrate capable of being catalyzed by said isoenzyme into a reaction product are introduced into a capillary column comprising a buffer. Most preferably the, buffer contains the substrate prior to introduction of the sample into such substrate-buffer. CZE separation techniques are applied to the column such that the isoenzymes are separated from each other into discrete zones. The separation techniques are terminated such that product is rapidly generated by the catalytic conversion of substrate by the isoenzymes and …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 16, 1992. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 16, 2012.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 16, 2014.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
